Want to get in to the Private Presale? All you have to do is volunteer for one of our 4 hour shifts. We have shifts available for all different times, morning, day, evening and weekend.

There is SO much that goes into putting the sale on, that is why it can not be a success without the help of YOU. If you are interested in volunteering a shift during the sale, you will be one of the FIRST to shop at our Private Volunteer’s Pre-Sale on Tuesday, March 6th.

NON-CONSIGNORS must work your first shift before the Presale!

Volunteer incentives are as follows:
Volunteer at least 1 shift-shop the volunteer presale, earn 70%
Volunteer 2 shifts-have your $10 consignor fee waived, earn 70%
Volunteer 3 shifts or more-have your $10 consignor fee waived, EARN 75%
PLUS be the absolute first to shop!!
ALL VOLUNTEER SHIFTS CANNOT OVERLAP EACH OTHER!!!

Volunteer Policy-NEW Summer Sale 2011
(Please READ before signing up for a shift)

In order to achieve a high quality event, we rely on a sufficient number of volunteer workers to show up when they are supposed to. B & S Consignment requires that volunteers fulfill their obligation to work the shifts they sign up for. All workers must be on time and work their entire shift (unless prior arrangements have been made) to reap the benefits.

If you find it necessary to cancel a work shift or reschedule your shift, please do so as soon as possible. You can remove yourself from a work shift and/or sign up for a new shift by logging into the Consignor Homepage (if you are consigning). The deadline to do so will be the Tuesday prior to the sale.

If an emergency arises and you must cancel, please notify us ASAP by calling 601-303-1466 or make an attempt to find a replacement.

In the event a worker does not fulfill their obligation or find a suitable replacement, to work in their stead,
B & S Consignment will deduct 30% of the worker's earnings from their check and they will not be allowed to volunteer & shop a Volunteer Presale at any future event.

If you send a replacement, your privileges will stay intact. Extenuating circumstances may be considered (such as a death in the family) and the worker may be allowed to volunteer again, but the deduction still may be taken at the discretion of B & S Consignment management.

Please note that this policy has been created in order to maintain a high quality sale. We want to attract only those volunteers who are responsible and dependable. Please thoughtfully consider the commitment before you sign up for a shift. Positions are limited, and you could be taking up a spot someone else would have gladly filled. When you cancel at the last minute and we cannot find someone to fill your vacancy, this causes us to be short handed and not able to handle traffic and sales as we need to. ***If you sign up to volunteer and shop the presale but do not show up to work your shift you will not be allowed to shop the presale again.***

If you are NOT a consignor you MUST work a shift prior to the presale.

@The pass is good for you and any under age children ONLY. However, we do not recommend you bring your children. This allows you time to shop and enjoy your evening looking for bargains for your kids.

The following are descriptions of Volunteer positions available during the sale:

Set Up-This is a limited shift. We need help setting up racks, displaying signs on racks and tables.

Drop Off-Consignors schedule a time to drop off their items they are consigning. We need volunteers to go through each item and check to make sure they meet the guidelines we have set, i.e. in style, no tears, stains, up to date, item limits, and that toys have batteries. Once items have been checked in, the volunteer may assist (time permitting) consignor with placing items on the sales floor. Dress for comfort, including shoes, and bring a drink and/or snack with you.

Pre-Sales & Public Sale-We need someone (men can volunteer) to man our entrance/exit door at all times. We need volunteers who can be on the sales floor assisting customers if needed, making sure items get put back on the racks or tables to assure we always have an organized event. Volunteers assist at the check out table counting items and bagging merchandise.

Pick Up-Consignors must pick up their unsold items between 5-7 on Friday. We need volunteers to assist in checking their items prior to removal.

Breakdown-This is where we have to pack up all equipment and racks. This is a great time to volunteer your husband. When we have enough help this doesn't take long. The racks are lightweight. Signs have to be dismantled from racks and supplies have to be boxed up for transport.
The best part is when we are done we get to leave.
