Safety/Recalls
Beginning with the Fall 2010
Sale B & S Consignment will no longer
accept cribs
It is important to us that only safe products are
offered to our shoppers, therefore each consignor is asked to
carefully check that none of the items you plan to consign have been
recalled prior to bringing them to drop off. As the owner/seller of
the items, it is the CONSIGNOR'S RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that each
item meets the required safety standards.
A recent recall:
Pottery Barn Kids Recalls to Repair Drop-Side Cribs Due to
Entrapment, Suffocation and Fall Hazards (Wed, 14 Jul
2010 18:30:00 GMT) The cribs' drop-sides can detach when
hardware breaks, creating a space into which a young child
can become entrapped, which can lead to suffocation. A child
can also fall out of the crib. Drop side incidents also
occur due to incorrect assembly and with age-related wear
and tear.
